"My client's fiancee, who up until today has been vociferously defending him, visited him for the first time since his arrest and walked out of the meeting very shortly thereafter sans engagement ring and announced that the wedding was off. Holy crap; it's a PR nightmare!"
Clearly, she finally had the chance to ask him face-to-face, "Did you do it?" and I'm betting the answer was plain as day on his face, no matter what he said.
